Chapter A Fundraiser
This is the main way we earn money for our chapter needs. More on
finances later. It has traditionally been a Craft and Bake Sale in the
form of an auction. However, the year 2003 has sparked new interests and
a desire for something new. BUNCO NIGHT!!! You know FUN, FOOD, and
FRIENDS (in other words, the same thing we do all the time with a new
name!). We will gather, pay homage to our Wings, over eat, find a way a
to make money while our sides are splitting from laugher, and travel
home with the many memories of good fun. Traditionally, members from
other chapters support each chapter’s fundraising attempts so it is an
occasion to visit with old and new friends. No one is ever a stranger
and hugs are freely given and accepted! Remember that you are encouraged
to go to other chapters meetings, and especially fundraisers! Because
this is the first year for Bunco Night, you will need to ask one of us
how successful we were!
Finances
Besides our Annual fundraisers (if needed), each chapter raises money at
each meeting by selling 50/50’s. These are raffle tickets, which are
sold at the beginning of each meeting. Half of the money goes into the
chapter’s treasury and half is distributed as prized at the end of each
meeting. Money raised by the chapter is used for a variety of things, to
include rental of our meeting room, District, Regional, and National
GWRRA obligations.
